Les archives de l’officiel de la mode

This morning I brought in a copy of a 1962 National Geographic for a coworker to use as a reference. It was such a nice thing to read through on the way to work. I learned all about these birds in Guinea called Hoatzin which have claws at the ends of their wings when they are young and then I read about early american naive painters. I really think I enjoy magazines from the past more than the ones that are current because you see the world frozen in another time. Another amazing resource are the archives of L’Officiel de la Mode. Back when I was a student at FIT I could spend hours on here pulling images and one time I even scored back issues the library was throwing away from the 1980s.
